What authority do you have to perform legal ceremonies?

Jason and Michael are ordained ministers with Canadian International Metaphysical Ministry (CIMM) and have full legal authority under the Marriage Act in the Province of Ontario to perform your wedding ceremony.

Where do you officiate weddings?

We can officiate weddings and marriage ceremonies both indoors and outdoors.

This can include hotels, country clubs, restaurants, banquet halls, private homes, parks, beaches, on boats, in chapels, or in whatever location you choose for your ceremony.

Jason has an extensive background in event planning and has established professional relationships with some of the most popular venues in the province.

See the list of some of our favourite venues here.

How much will my ceremony cost?

The total cost of your wedding ceremony will depend on the season, date, time, and location of your service. Our fees can be customized to fit your budget; however, as a general rule, we stand by our prices and will ensure that all your expectations are met.

Following our initial conversation, we will provide you with a customized quote.

Feel free to start the conversation by contacting at The Marry Men Inquiry Form

What will our marriage ceremony look like?

The Marry Men pride themselves on creating memorable, personal, and fully-customized wedding ceremonies.

Following our initial consultation, we will invite you to join us in a JaM (Jason and Michael) Session ™ where we can customize the details of your ceremony. It is our intention to create a memorable marriage ceremony that reflects your love story, individual personalities, and journey as a couple.

A traditional ceremony will include one or two readings and can incorporate selections of poetry, prose, reflections, scripture passages, or song lyrics. Family members or guests are welcome to participate as readers. There are absolutely no restrictions on the readings you select or how many you can have.

Take a look at the format of one of our signature wedding ceremonies here.

How long is a typical ceremony?

Traditional wedding services can range from 15 to 30 minutes in length. The Marry Men's customized ceremonies range from 22 to 25 minutes.

Are you willing to incorporate elements or rituals from another culture or religious tradition?

Of course! We find the wedding customs and traditions of other cultures and religions fascinating, and would be happy to learn about and incorporate appropriate elements into your wedding ceremony. Please feel free to discuss with us any ideas you might have.

We have children. Can you make them a part of our ceremony?

There are many ways to include children in your ceremony apart from being a ring bearer or flower girl. As an educator, Michael has had plenty of experience finding creative ways to keep children engaged in various events. We can include them in a sharing of family vows, in a blending of sand ritual, or provide a short reading they can recite.

What time will you arrive?

We will discuss and review the arrival time for your marriage ceremony based on your "day-of" schedule. If you do have a wedding coordinator, event planner, or venue manager, you are welcome to put us in touch so we can work our those details. Either way, we will be there!

What will you wear to the ceremony?

During our consultation, we will discuss the possible themes and colour schemes of your wedding day and will coordinate our attire accordingly. We love to play with all the colours of the rainbow.

How many times will we meet to discuss our ceremony?

Following our initial conversation (either in person, by phone, or via video conferencing), and after we mutually agree to work together, we will invite you to complete a Couple's Questionnaire.

A 50% deposit will be required at this time to secure your date and our services.

We will maintain open communication with you and/or your planner and will be happy to go over the details of your wedding day and answer any questions you might have. Remember, we have taken this journey already and are happy to guide you along yours.

We  will commit the necessary time, creativity, and energy required to ensure that your wedding day is everything you want and deserve it to be.

Will you fill out and file our Marriage Licence?

Please refer to our comprehensive Marriage Licence section for all the details.

Will you sign the legal documents prior to a friend or family member performing the ceremony?
While some officiants will allow a friend or family member to ‘officiate’ the wedding with their oversight and step in for the legal part of the ceremony, The Marry Men do not offer this service. We pride ourselves on the relationships we build with our couples and the great care and detail we put into our customized storytelling. With The Marry Men, your wedding ceremony will be more than just a formality - it will be a celebration of your unique journey as a couple.

An officiant is responsible for setting the tone of the wedding ceremony. An experienced, skilled, and reputable officiant can make all the difference in making the ceremony memorable and meaningful.
