Wine Ritual
COMBINE, SIGN, and WINE!
Wine has been a fixture at weddings since the time of the ancient Greeks because, in many ways, a glass of wine symbolizes the sum of a couple’s life experiences. It contains the sweet flavours of love and contentment but can also hold the bitter taste of heartache and despair. That’s what makes wine the perfect analogy for marriage.
During a wine ritual, two small carafes of wine, one white and one red, are poured into a third carafe, creating a rosé blend. The couple takes turns drinking from the same glass to represent their new union with one another. Naturally, non-alcoholic varieties can be substituted.
The Wine Capsule is another beautiful way for the couple to commemorate their nuptials. Following the ceremony, their vows are sealed inside a wooden wine box with unopened bottles of the wine used in the blending ritual. Ten years later, the “perfect pairing” opens the box, re-reads their vows, and enjoys the aged wine to toast the many milestones of their relation-sip.

Sample excerpt from ceremony
“Wine is often a symbol of life and the sweetness, happiness, and joy it brings with every glass. Marriage is like fine wine; if properly tended to, it gets better with age.
The wine contains everything you need for a long-lasting marriage: boldness, passion, balance, and compassion.
On your first anniversary, open this box and pour each other a glass of wine.
Reflect on how much you have grown as individuals and how your love and relationship has evolved and matured through marriage.
Then replace the bottle of wine, and repeat this ritual on every anniversary, and see how your marriage grow sweeter and richer as it ages.”
